Clarkes Court Bay Marina, Grenada

Clarkes Court Bay Marina is nestled in the perfect position to shelter boats…a beautiful natural bowl in the hillside of Mount Hartman Park, which is a sanctuary for the rare Grenada dove.  The waters in the Bay are calm, with its south entrance partially protected by Hog and Calivigny Islands.

The marina has 50 slips with more planned, and the floating docks are of the best quality and construction found anywhere.  The marina is ideal for short or long term stays and provides full yacht management services to those who wish to leave their boat in competent hands in a secure location.

With the completion of a new concrete road to the marina, access is easy and transportation to the Airport or St. George’s is easy to arrange and takes about 10-15 minutes.

The flair with which this Marina conducts itself is epitomized in such beautiful features as the Oasis Bar and Restaurant, quite the most attractive and best built bar in the whole of Grenada.

Clarkes Court Bay Marina is the brainchild of Bob Blanc who owns and manages the marina as well as a dock-building business in Canada. His aim is to develop a full-service marina with world class amenities, as you can see in our ‘Coming soon’ area.

You’ll find Bob and his staff very friendly and will do anything they can to help you, and to make your visit a happy and enjoyable experience.

Hurricane Ivan

Grenada is officially below the hurricane belt.  However, in September 2004, Grenada and its yachting community suffered from a rogue hurricane known locally as “Ivan the Terrible”.  Hurricane Janet in the 1950’s was the only hurricane to hit Grenada in the whole of the 1900’s, and we fervently hope that Ivan is simply an early fulfillment of our full quota for this century.

Clarkes Court Bay Marina suffered along with everyone else. Fortunately, our security was never compromised and we were able to restore full operation within a few months. The floating dock technology was instrumental in preventing more severe damage to boats, and we are fully prepared with procedures in place to minimize potential damage in the event of any future threat.

Grenada remains one of the safest places in the Caribbean to store boats during the hurricane season.  As in past years, we look forward to servicing those customers who wish to keep their boats in the marina during the July to November months.
